Funding the Elysema Jean-Mary School for hundreds of underprivileged children in Hinche, Haiti
In 2020 Still Waters embarked on a project to completely fund an existing school in Hinche, Haiti. This school had recently loss their previous sponsor, and was to valuable to the community to let it close. This is a major undertaking that yields a major impact on hundreds of children in the Hinche, Haiti region. These children have no other opportunity to better their lives, often going without food and basic necessities, Elysema Jean-Mary School provides an opportunity for a way out of their multiple generation poverty. Learning to read, write and other skills sets makes a huge difference. Our goal is to better the school structure, sustain the teacher’s salaries, provide school/medical supplies and subsidize children’s tuition. Ultimately we will also provide consistent meals and other much needed support.
There are a number of ways you can be involved with this mission, including but not limited to:
•donating money to various projects
•donating school and medical supplies
•being involved with mission trips to improve the property, provide medical care and teaching support.
